November 25, 2017 @ 10:00 pm - November 26, 2017 @ 5:00 am UTC+11
CONTROL descends into the disco abyss that is Tokyo Sing Song for our spring sojourn.
Presenting a feisty line-up of femmes on decks, supporting our mane attraction: the stunning, vibrant, demented and delectable LADONNA RAMA.
Ladonna was born in 2005 on a playful afternoon during a Wild Boys art residency at Hibernian House, Sydney, with face by Sydney drag legend Miss 3D. She debuted for the original cLUB bENT at Performance Space in the late 90s. She’s danced for Peaches, worked with Chicks on Speed in Köln and Ben Drayton and The Naked Barber at the Oxford Hotel. She’s collaborated with Sari Kivinen as performance troupe screwsLoose in Sydney and Helsinki and with Christina Harvey as techno duo New Lover. She’s rubbed shoulders with the Motel Sisters for Parramatta Laneways, Glitta Militia for Monsta Gras and Harvest Festival and headlined for Camp Queen with Matt Format at Secret Garden Festival. She’s also worked with Apocalypstik for Glamour Pour Le Hammer and Bunny Hoop Star and the Hoopaholics for Sleaze Ball and the Mardi Gras Party.
“It’s more than a queer post facto dance with pop. It itself embodies the avant pop of a pint-sized singing budgie on the edge of acceptability.” – The iconic Aaron Manhattan.

Spin doctors on the night:
KATE DOHERTY (House of MINCE)
YES. One of Sydney’s most charismatic DJ’s, Kate Doherty has been claiming Sydney underground dance floors for over a decade. Doherty’s sets are notorious for their sophisticated flair and accuracy; imbuing techno, deep-ambient, and electro with funk and hip-hop sensibilities. Her energetic sets are founded in hours industriously preparing for nuanced and surprising sets, never far from the massive sounds of blackened-techno and industrial influences.
Doherty is qualified in her place as one of three House of Mince residents having previously been a resident with the inimitable 4our, a warehouse party collaboration between Sydney DJs Trinity and Magda Bytnerowicz. Her playing catalogue also includes having played alongside dancefloor heavyweights Headless Horseman; Volte-Face; Xhin; DJ Sprinkles; Alex Smoke; Peter Van Hoesen; Luke Slater; Voiski; Eric Cloutier; Randomer; Paula Temple; Delano Smith; and contributions to Sydney parties Darkroom and Trench.
She’s our resident at Control and needs no introduction but here goes: From Sydney’s fiercest and dearest club nights through to the underground parties that line New York City’s sub-cultures and beyond, Sveta has been socking it to audiences from behind the decks for over two decades.
Pioneering club nights such as Queer Central & Sissy, this homegrown DJ and Producer is considered spinning roaylty in her hometown of Sydney and has worked every veritable corner of the scene. She has played alongside Kim Ann Foxman, the Scissor Sisters, Kylie Minogue, K-HAND, The Presets, Derrick Carter, Princess Superstar, Big Freedia, Light Asylum, Peaches, Amanda Palmer, Yo Majesty, Larry Tee, Cazwell, Amanda Lepore, Boy George, Ladyhawke, Frankie Knuckles, RuPaul, Lady Miss Kier and Andy Butler (Hercules & Love Affair) and many more.
A Melbourne transplant with a penchant for the darkside of the electronic music spectrum, yet an apprecition for high camp soring diva vocals. What can come from those influences during a set is anyones guess. She’s a resident at Hellfire Club and has been spotted in Tokyo, London, NYC and various nooks in Australia, dishing out a signature blend of dirty-wavey-bass driven expressions of her OTT feelings.
