Inside and around PORTable Container
A pop up creative space in a shipping container, located in a new place each week through September in Hobsons Bay. Featuring young artists from local design house Mesh Mash, a different guest artist in each place and you, PORTable Container will be a choose-your-own-adventure art voyage, different every day.
This final two day PORTable pop up is hosted by award-winning puppetry and experimental arts group, The Indirect Object. The container will sit beside Lohse Street Reserve in Laverton and will be operational during the very special Blockumentary screening on Thursday 28 (see http://www.artinpublicplaces.com.au) for more.

This is part of Art and Public Places, a month-long, multi venue celebration of art and ideas, in all their forms, throughout Hobsons Bay. Everyday spaces become art sites as we discover artwork and artists from around the world and around the corner. Art in Public Places reminds us of the importance of public space for its ability to host diverse social exchanges and the communication of ideas to those who seek them, and those who happen upon them, in equal measure. Featuring a dynamic visual representation of sound, an augmented reality guided tour that takes care of you to, the international premier of a film about our very own Laverton, ‘Glow’ – by kids, for kids – and so much more.
