The Hellfire Club Friday 27 October: Halloween Party!
October 27, 2017 @ 9:30 pm - 3:30 am UTC+11
We are super-excited, profoundly relieved and very, very thankful that our annual Halloween party will be able to proceed at a gorgeous two-level venue on the main drag of Kings Cross (the former Commonwealth Bank building!).
The night will be a bit of a mutual try-out, to see whether we like to be there and whether they like having us there. If all goes as well as we hope, then they may be able to accommodate us on our usual 4th-Friday-of-the-month schedule.
It’s a VERY different style of venue than the Midnight Shift, running as a live music venue rather than a nightclub, but we think it’s absolutely gorgeous. The art-deco building exterior is reflected in the retro interior, which feels very fetish and really appropriate for Hellfire.
The only downside is that it has none of the usual nightclub sound system, decks, mixer, subs, monitors etc. that makes it all work for DJs and patrons alike. Accordingly we are going to have to hire in the whole kit and kaboodle and have it set up on the Friday and taken away the next day so the venue can return to it’s normal functioning.
This is not cheap. Quite the opposite. So to make it viable we are going to have to reluctantly raise our door price by $5 – the first increase in well over a decade. We hate to have to do this as we like to keep Hellfire as affordable as possible for as many as possible, but even after this we will still have the most affordable ticket price for any Sydney fetish party.
Upsides? There’s more than a few! From more toilets to a smoking room that you can drink in to having two distinct levels (with more places to sit and more places to play!), we think you’ll love exploring it and discovering its possibilities. The drinks are around the same price points as the Shift, the staff are really excited to have us there (some have been to Hellfire more than once) and Kings Cross is an even more convenient transport hub than Oxford Street.
Look there’s so much more to talk about but we’ll get to all that over the coming weeks. For now we just wanted to make sure you knew that we will return in October so you can put us in your diaries accordingly.
