World AIDS Day Street Appeal
December 1, 2017 @ 7:00 am - 3:00 pm UTC+11
Every year for World AIDS Day, our dedicated volunteers make and distribute tens of thousands of red ribbons to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS globally as well as raise funds for the work we undertake throughout the year.
We’re urging all Victorians to show they care on Friday 1 December, World AIDS Day, by getting the facts about HIV and wearing a red ribbon to show their support for people living with HIV.
Look out for our volunteers and staff on the streets wearing “HIV Affects Everyone” t-shirts all around the city helping to raise awareness, distribute ribbons & collect donations. You can find them at 20 locations around the city, including:
South Yarra Station
North Melbourne Station
2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the uniquely ‘Victorian Red Ribbon’, so this year our ribbons will have a silver edge to commemorate this early work in our community.
